Part of the Cornamona

MMRT, cos it was obvious we were better craic. When not climbing the
Twelve Pins might be spied driving his Minibus Taxi around Galway.

Long running member of
the Order of Malta and a native of Westport, Dave's main job is as
an Emergency Room Supervisor for CAMP West Regional Control Centre.

Michael is a building

jobs on Croagh Patrick when he can furnish all the tools for the
job.
|
He may appear over the
hill in more ways than one but Dick brings a lifetime experience of
Hill walking to the team as a member. The elder statesman of the team, Dick has endeared himself to the much younger (but getting older by the year) members with his quirky sense of humour and vast experience of hill walking in Mayo.
|
Chippy Feeney: Has earned
his stripes on many first responder teams, an ever reliable team
member for call outs day and night and a grand fella to be on the
mountain with too.
|
One of the founding

|
Living within the shadow
of Croagh Patrick near the famous Rock of Boheh, Greg has establishe himself as the poster boy of the team for his striking good looks and charm! His famous legover at Ballyryan
has also entered the annals of MMRT.
|
Mary's pleasant feminity,
combined with that of the other female members of the team, helps to
keep the adrenalin, testosterone and bravado of most of the lads in
check and certainly makes for a prettier team overall. Has been
known to throw pots for fun
|
Former Chairman and a counsellor by profession, Shane's cool head and calming effect is
often called into play on the team or whenever he ventures out as
passenger in the Landrover, where his knuckles have been known to
turn white |
Noel

discovering his salvation in MMRT was something at sea in his kayak

|
Native of Louisburgh,
romance and the need to get away from The Reek has brought Anne Marie to Claremorris. MMRT has brought her
back again! Like Michael works as a Social Worker with the HSE.
|
Castlebar native marie Marie started her familarity with mountain rescue by acting as Attending Nurse in the Order of Malta Medical Tent each Reek Sunday. The madness this implied eventually became so infectious so as to entice her in 2008 to join the team proper for the rest of the year also. In her day job she works as a Nurse at Delphi Adventure Centre in Doolough Valley.
|
A native of Dungannon in
Co Tyrone, Charlotte emigrated South in search of decent mountains

A 2008 recruit, Donegal Native Liz brings her considerable experience as an Outdoor Instructor at St Petersburgh Outdoor Education Centre to the team.
|
Castlebar Native and 2008 recruit John is a paramedic by profession. Like Mick has already had something of a baptism of fire in his involvement with some of the most challenging call outs in recent times. A life changing experience after a recent Ac/Dc concert caused his curly locks to dissappear overnight.
|
We don't know a huge amount yet about Diarmuid, bar that, like the other Diarmuid, he works as an instructor in Achill Outdoor Education Centre. When we find out more we'll let you know.
